How confident are you in using Public Transport?

Public transport is a lifeline for many, but people’s confidence and concerns vary. Here’s what the survey revealed:

  • Frequency of use: most respondents use public transport occasionally (37%) or a few times a week (37%); 21% use it daily, while only 5% said rarely, and none said never

  • Confidence levels: overall, confidence is fairly high - 38% feel confident and 27% very confident. However, 17% remain neutral, and 18% reported being slightly or not at all confident

  • Top concerns when using public transport:

    • Reliability & schedules – 28%

    • Safety & security – 27%

    • Cleanliness & hygiene – 16%

    • Cost – 14%

    • Accessibility – 8%

    • Other – 7%

💡 Insight: Confidence in public transport is generally strong, but concerns around reliability and safety stand out as the biggest barriers to building trust and encouraging more frequent use.
