Do you feel informed about current health risks in your local area?

More than half of respondents (58%) say they do not feel informed about current health risks in their local area, while 42% say they do. The results show a noticeable gap in awareness, with lack of information outweighing confidence.

💡 Insight:

The findings highlight a critical need for clearer, more accessible local health communication, particularly in light of recent meningitis cases in Kent earlier this month.

When emerging risks are not widely understood, it can increase uncertainty and reduce people’s ability to respond appropriately. This reinforces the importance of timely, localised updates and trusted communication channels that help communities stay informed, reassured and prepared.
