Are you happy for social media to track your location?

An overwhelming majority of respondents (90%) say they are not happy for social media platforms to track their location, compared with just 10% who are comfortable with it. The results show a decisive imbalance, with opposition outweighing acceptance by nine to one.

💡 Insight:

This finding highlights deep public concern around privacy, data use, and personal safety in digital spaces. The strong resistance suggests that many people feel location tracking is intrusive or insufficiently transparent, reinforcing the need for clearer consent, stronger safeguards, and greater trust in how personal data is collected and used.
