imabi achieves Good Business Charter accreditation

imabi has achieved Good Business Charter accreditation, joining a growing national movement of organisations committed to raising the bar for responsible business in the UK.

The Good Business Charter recognises organisations that prioritise doing the right thing, not only in what they deliver, but in how they operate behind the scenes. It provides a clear benchmark for responsible business, covering areas such as fair pay, employee wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, customer care, ethical sourcing, prompt payment and fair tax.

Founded by retail entrepreneur Julian Richer and developed with the Confederation of British Industry, Trades Union Congress and Federation of Small Businesses, the Good Business Charter brings together the interests of people, business and society.

For imabi, accreditation provides external recognition of the standards we are working to build into the business as we grow.

Our work is focused on using digital tools to help people feel safer, better informed and more connected in the places where they live, work, study and travel. This includes helping organisations communicate important safety information, connect people to trusted support and make reporting routes easier to access.

Because imabi works across areas including safeguarding, community safety, transport, workplaces, education and public-benefit partnerships, responsible business practice is closely linked to the way we develop our technology and build relationships.

Achieving Good Business Charter accreditation demonstrates imabi’s commitment to employees, customers, users, partners and wider stakeholders. It reflects the importance we place on fair working practices, employee wellbeing, responsible supplier relationships, customer care, environmental responsibility and continuing improvement.

Achieving Good Business Charter accreditation is a significant accomplishment, reflecting a genuine commitment to responsible business. imabi has met our high standards and deserves to be recognised.

We’re thrilled to have them join our growing community of accredited organisations that are leading the way and showing that responsible business is good for everyone
— Jenny Herrera, CEO of the Good Business Charter
Good Business Charter accreditation is an important recognition for imabi. Our work is about helping people feel safer, better informed and better connected, so it matters that our own business practices reflect the same sense of responsibility.

As we continue to grow, this gives our customers, partners, colleagues and users a clear signpost that we are committed to doing business properly, treating people fairly and continuing to improve.”
— Mark Balaam, Founder and CEO of imabi

For imabi, this accreditation is another step in building a responsible technology business that supports people, places and communities in a practical and trusted way.

It sits alongside our wider commitment to responsible technology at the heart of positive social change.
