Mark Balaam is a safeguarding & security expert with more than 30 years of experience and the CEO and founder of imabi.
imabi integrates safeguarding, personal safety, and wellbeing into one comprehensive service. imabi provides essential information, reporting tools, support, and geo-location features, empowering individuals to make safer decisions in educational settings, workplaces, and communities.
Mark's extensive experience spans sectors like policing, security, cyber security, risk management, and personal protection. Under his leadership, imabi has launched imabi Inspire for education, imabi Pro for businesses, imabi Travel Guardian and the imabi Connect initiative for regional support. A White Ribbon Ambassador, Mark actively tackles violence against women and girls, and domestic abuse through the imabi ecosystem.
Inspired by his daughters, Imogen and Abigail, Mark is dedicated to making the world safer for everyone, continuing to drive imabi’s growth and impact.
