White Ribbon UK’s June Campaign: Right to Respect

In a world where 3 in 5 women experience harassment, bullying or abuse at work - respect cannot be optional and it must be non-negotiable.

That’s the message behind White Ribbon UK’s June Campaign: Right to Respect - a national movement to create positive workplace cultures and ensure everyone feels safe, valued and heard at work.

What is the Right to Respect Campaign about?

Led by White Ribbon UK, the Right to Respect campaign is a response to the widespread reality of sexual harassment and abuse in the UK workplaces and the increasing need for urgent, preventative actions.

Following the Worker Protection Act 2023, employers are legally required to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment at work. This campaign empowers them to meet that responsibility with the tools, guidance and cultural change required to make a real difference.

The Campaign:

  • Hosts expert-led talks on best practices in workplace respect and safety

  • Amplifies action from organisations committed to change

It’s not just about compliance - it’s about leadership and accountability.

🚨 Why This Matters?

According to the TUC (2023):

  • 3 in 5 women have experienced sexual harassment, bullying, or verbal abuse at work.

  • 57% of women reported experiencing three or more incidents.

These are not one-offs - these are patterns, and they must stop.

“It’s not that women don’t feel safe at work - they are not safe”says White Ribbon UK CEO, Lynne Elliot.

Join the Movement – Take Action

Respect shouldn’t be performative - it should be lived, enforced, and protected.

📢 Employers & HR Leaders – are you doing enough to create a culture of safety and respect? Are your teams equipped to prevent harm before it happens?
